Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 26 Drops Later on Sunday This Week

Attack on Titan Season 4 Episode 26 (Episode 85’s English sub) drops in the U.S. on Sunday, March 13. But you’ll want to note the time. It’s dropping an hour later than you’re used to watching. The new episode will be available in the U.S. starting at 4:45 p.m. Eastern (3:45 p.m. Eastern/1:45 p.m. Pacific/2:45 p.m. Mountain.) In Honolulu, Hawaii, that’s Sunday at 10:45 a.m. In Anchorage, Alaska, that’s Sunday at 12:45 p.m.

Representatives of Funimation and Crunchyroll confirmed the time with Post Apocalyptic Media. The release time is typically the same for Hulu.

The reason for the delay is because of the new Daylight Savings time change kicks in on late Saturday night/Sunday morning. So of course, this means the episode is airing later everywhere in the U.S. except locations where the time doesn’t change. Honolulu, for example, has the same release time as last week. You can see release times across North America at this link.

If one platform is missing the episode and the others have it, then that platform is likely having server issues. If this happens, try one of the other streaming services’ free trials if you don’t want to wait. For example, Funimation has free trials and you can sign up here.

Here’s a countdown to when the episode is officially expected to drop in the U.S.

The synopsis for the episode reads: “Stop Eren to save the world. Former companions stand in front of those who decide so. They fight with the feeling that no one wants to die.” (This is the Google translation from the official website.)

Here’s a refresher from last week.

See our full review of last week’s episode here. Below is a short synopsis.

Last week was slower paced, allowing us to spend time understanding the struggles of individual characters, and just how fragile their new alliance really is.

We saw Jean’s internal struggle with the life he could have had (and how he’s still in love with Mikasa), punctuated by the knowledge that he just can’t stand by and let genocide happen. But he and Magath are still at odds, with neither able to see things from the other’s point of view.

Jean’s struggle spilled over into intense anger at Reiner for how he killed Marco. He beat up Reiner and only stopped because Gabi stepped in and got kicked by accident. After she was kicked, she delivered the most heart-wrenching apology to Jean for what her side had done, begging him to save her family and friends. Her cries even moved Magath.

We also learned that Yelena was lying this whole time. She was a Marleyan pretending to be from an overthrown country!

Mikasa and Annie also almost came to blows, as Annie rightly doubted whether Mikasa would actually kill Eren. Mikasa, of course, rightly doubted Annie’s intentions entirely.

Levi slept through the whole thing, only wakening briefly to comment with annoyance at how noisy they were all being. 😄

We’re left with a cliffhanger. The Jaegerists took control of the port and Floch has taken Azumabito hostage. Things are even more precarious now.
