If you enjoyed the original Impact Winter on Audible last year, you’ll be happy to hear that Book 2 of the vampire apocalypse performance is now available.

The Audible original series from Pacific Rim’s Travis Beacham tells the story of the Dunraven sisters six months after the Vampire Queen from the first book went silent.

“Brace yourself for a frigid realm of sacred daggers, mighty swords, secret seaside caves, unthinkable human blood farms, and a superpowered vampire villain on the hunt,” the Audible description reads. “Will Darcy emerge from hiding to save her sister? Will Hope venture from the castle refuge and find Darcy first? When all paths converge, everyone in Hope and Darcy’s orbit is in mortal danger, including the sisters themselves.”

This sequel is also said to introduce “new lands, new loves, new weapons, and new warriors” to the dark and frigid world brought to you by the executive producers of The Walking Dead.

Impact Winter Season 2 brings back familiar voices from the first book like Liam Cunningham (Game of Thrones), Bella Ramsey (The Last of Us, Game of Thrones), Holliday Grainger (Cinderella), Esme Creed-Miles (Hanna), and many more.

In addition to being the writer and creator of the Impact Winter series, Travis Beacham also worked on Pacific Rim, Carnival Row, and the Clash of the Titans remake.

What Fans Think So Far

Fans of the original production seem pleased with this second book so far. “This was excellent! The storyline picks up where book 1 leaves off,” one fan named Deedra wrote. “The love interests play a big part in the interactions of the ‘people’ as in real life. Narration by the various narrators was spot on.”

Listener Jeanette said, “I enjoyed this production. If you liked the first part, you’ll most likely enjoy this one as well. Personally, I didn’t have a problem with the same sex relationship as mentioned in other reviews. It didn’t affect my enjoyment of the story at all. Looking forward to the third installment.”
