We have some bad news for you if you’re looking for The Handmaid’s Tale Season 5 Episode 11. Unfortunately, Episode 10 last week was the season finale. Season 5 will have no new episodes.
This Season Was Shorter, Same as Last Year
Even before the pandemic began, creator Bruce Miller announced that Season 4 of The Handmaid’s Tale would only contain 10 episodes rather than the usual 13. Miller told IndieWire in January 2020 that the ideas he had in mind just worked better with a 10-episode season. He stated that MGM and Hulu completely supported his wish for a shortened season, and he kept going with Season 5. It seemed to work for the show, too. But now, fans are sad to see it go for this season.

The Series Is Renewed for a 6th and Final Season
As we have previously covered, Season 6 of The Handmaid’s Tale is going to sadly be its last. But this doesn’t mean it will be the end of its universe, with The Testaments coming after the show ends.
It might be safe to assume that the sixth and final season is going to air in September 2023, or a few weeks later, according to previous seasons and when they aired. There are no official dates available, only assumptions. Season 6 is expected to premiere “near the end of 2023, one year after season five,” according to The Digital Spy, and CinemaBlend adds “we’ll have to wait quite some time before obtaining any concrete details.
“But do I know what happens in season 6?” showrunner Bruce Miller remarked in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “Yes, I did think about the stuff that happens in season 6 for a while. But I also have been watching other shows end successfully or unsuccessfully. And I’ve got to take those lessons.”
So it’s safe to assume that Miller is going to study shows that ended on a good note with the public and implement aspects into The Handmaid’s Tale.
What Is ‘The Testaments’?

The Testaments, based on Margaret Atwood’s 2019 follow-up novel, is presently in the early stages of development. It will take place some years after the events of the last season’s climax.
Because The Handmaid’s Tale differs greatly from the original source material in terms of plot progression, it is unclear how closely The Testaments will stick to Atwood’s novel or how much of a connection will be formed between the two series. We will have to see! In the meantime, make sure that you subscribe to our newsletter to get the latest news about anything The Handmaid’s Tale related.
If you want to rewatch The Handmaid’s Tale from the beginning, Hulu is the best place to do that if you’re in the United States. Episodes of previous seasons of The Handmaid’s Tale are also available to purchase from previous seasons on Amazon Prime Video in the U.S.
