A Texas bakery, Hive Bakery, created a stunning cake paying homage to The Handmaid’s Tale. The cake is already getting a lot of comments from fans who absolutely love the work of art.

The Cake Features June, Along With Images From the Series

The gorgeous (but also slightly disturbing) cake features June at the top, along with a severed finger that was painstakingly made to look as realistic as possible. The cake is adorned with several nooses, a cross, and muffins and scones.

Here’s a picture of the cake below, as shared on Reddit.

Just in case the photo is taken down for any reason, here’s the photo shared on Hive Bakery’s official Instagram account.

The muffins and scones seen on the cake are a reference to a previous season, when they were used as a secret mode of communication. Muffins meant “yes” and scones meant “no.” June uses that mode of communication to help her get children in Gilead on a plane to safety in Canada.

When sharing the photo, Hive Bakery wrote on Instagram, “We were so busy this morning we forgot to post!!! We re-baked and have some more goodies now!
We were thrilled to design this Handmaids Tale cake, given the state of our country, currently. ‘Don’t let the bastards grind you down!'”

On Instagram, sparklingdivinexoxo replied, “Oh my gosh the finger!! Looks so real!! Love it!!🤩”

On Reddit, Rrroxy shared that she’s been decorating cakes for 16 years.

    1. Handmaid’s Tale is more damaging to women’s minds than the media could EVER wish video games could ever possibly be to men. HT is based on ISLAMIC sharia law and uses a story from Judaism. Funny how all these women cosplaying in ‘pseudo-hijabs’ aren’t being called Islamophobic or Anti-semetic.
