Made in Abyss Season 2 unveiled a new trailer for its July 6th premiere and along with it announced the intro theme/opening song “Katachi” (which means “Shape” in Japanese) performed by Azuna Riko. Here is more info about the artist and Made in Abyss Season 2.
Who Is Azuna Riko?
Azuna Riko is a 28-year-old Japanese singer and songwriter who contributed to many anime theme songs, including Shinchou Yuusha, Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? and Yagate Kimi ni Naru. Her Made in Abyss intro theme, Katachi (かたち), is her ninth single which will be released on August 24, 2022.
She also recently officially announced her debut as a voice actress on April 1, 2022, when she signed a contract with EARLY WING agency. There are a few voice samples on the website that you can hear, too! Really interesting to see that she is now becoming a voice actor as well. Congratulations to her! What a cool way to let her voice shine in other ventures than her songs.

According to Wiki, when Azuna first heard about the opportunity to sing a song for the anime television programme Bloom Into You, she decided to pursue a career in music. She didn’t read the original manga series at the time; she only knew that it was about the love between two girls.
She was successful in the audition, and on November 28, 2018, her first single, “Kimi ni Furete” (君にふれて, “Touched By You”), which served as the series’ opening theme song, was made available.

What is New in Made in Abyss Season 2?
Aside from the intro and outro songs in Season 2 of Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun, we can expect new characters as well.
There are four new characters in the latest trailer and they are named Majikaja, Maaa, Muugi, and Gaburoon. These characters are voiced by Hiroki Goto, Kana Ichinose, Kimiko Saito, and Ryota Takeuchi, respectively.
