On Reddit, Mopey_ wrote: “I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited for an adaption. Just finished re-reading the Manga. Just put me Cryo Sleep till it releases.”

Mookflywalker wrote, “bro this anime is going to take over the internet in a way we have never seen…people think attack on titan and demon slayer were popular just wait.”

Some fans are warning that if you’re an anime-only viewer, you’ll need to stick through the beginning, because it gets a lot better after what will likely be cour 1.

Lil41 wrote, “Theres gonna be a lot of anime onlies shitting on cour 1. Manga readers always rave about the second half and many i know have dropped csm early on cause they didnt find it special.”

They later added, “cour 1 is gonna have a ton of haters and people with reactionary takes lol. Manga readers will have to keep repeating that it gets good later.”

Ginger6616 replied, “Early chainsawman is not bad, it’s just simple. Later CSM is soooo good it makes the beginning feel worse, but it’s still really fun.”

HamstersAreReal wrote, “Chainsaw Man is a journey, it’s good all the way through, but the absolute best parts of the series require build up. You’ll see the culmination of most of that build up later on.”
