Made in Abyss Season 2, The Golden City of the Scorching Sun (also known in Japanese as Retsujitsu no Ougonkyou), is almost here and we’ve seen previews, impressions, early screenings pictures, and more! One of the things that really impressed people about the new season was the ending song, Endless Embrace by MYTH & ROID. If this is the first time you hear from them, here are a few tidbits about the artist.

Who Are MYTH & ROID?

Multiple vocalists make up the Japanese pop-rock band MYTH & ROID, which is focused on Tom-H@ck and Hotaru. With the publication of its first song, “L.L.L,” the band made their debut in 2015.

The band’s name is derived from two words: “myth,” which stands for the past, and “android,” which stands for the future. The band believes that these two features combined will enable the creation of “a new world”, or so they say on their website. You’ll have to use an English translator for this one, as their whole website is in Japanese.

In May 2022, it was revealed on Anime News Network that the band would play the ED song “Endless Embrace” at the live-streamed Golden Week special for the second season of the anime series.

On August 24, 2022, the song will be made available as their eleventh single.

People are really excited to hear the song during the anime’s second season, and we can really get why! It’s incredibly beautiful.

MYTH & ROID were featured in many anime such as Overlord, Boogiepop wa Warawanai (2019), BBK/BRNK, Saga of Tanya the Evil, Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious, Made in Abyss, Isekai Cheat Magician and Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World. Their portfolio keeps growing and, judging on how well their songs are received, it definitely won’t be the last time we hear from them!
