This article will have very minor spoilers for Season 4 Part 2 based on the intro song. The article is manga-spoiler-free.

The Band SiM Is Performing the New Song

The band SiM is performing the new song and the title of the song (or the title of the season’s new intro) is “The Rumbling,” according to @_Dominating.

The song itself hasn’t been released yet.

According to Wikipedia, SiM stands for Silence iz Mine, and it’s a Japanese alternative metal band.

On Reddit, Redditor UROS__98 said this is the same band whose music was used in Chainsaw Man fans’ fan-made opening, and so they’re feeling pretty optimistic about the new intro. Here’s the video:

Here’s another song by the same band:

They also did the opening to Rage of Bahamut: Genesis.

What do you think? Can you see the band doing a great song for the final half season?

Some fans are sad that Linked Horizon won’t be doing the final song.

Here’s a ‘Spoilers Without Context’ Image for the Intro Video

On Twitter, @BlastITA_ shared a spoilers-without-context image describing the season 4 part 2 opening in a nutshell.

They added: “This time around i had to be more cryptic/limited with the visuals but the content i listed here is accurate.”

On Reddit, when asked how reliable this is, Redditors assured readers that this is reliable. Redditor DJ_AW03 wrote: “Before anyone asks who this person or whether they’re credible, they also did this same ‘in a nutshell’ post for part 1’s opening and they’ve been just about 100% accurate with they’re other plentiful part 2 leaks, so they’re definitely reliable. So you can use the part 1 in a nutshell image as a reference ig.”

And they’re right, it was really accurate.

I’m going to guess there will be something connected to Zeke’s “rumbling inducing” scream in the intro, along with a look back at their childhood (aka “Red Swan”). I’m not sure how to interpret the dead butterfly though. Some readers are concerned this means it will be a quieter intro like “Red Swan,” but considering the band that’s making the intro song, I’m doubting that will be the case.

One thing that we can be sure of: we’ll slightly dislike the song and feel quite disjointed about it when it first airs. And then after the fourth or fifth episode, we’ll all be singing and dancing along to it.
