Here Are the English Lyrics for the Ending Song

These are the lyrics provided by the official ending video.

An iron bullet is proof of justice.

Whenever I shot I became closer to the hero.

If you close your eyes and touch it,

The evil who has the same body and the same temperature.

Am I not good enough and is he better for you?

There was just a wall.

Don’t cry about the destiny we were born with.

Cause we are all free.

If we have wings like birds,

We could go anywhere.

If we don’t have a place to return to,

We might not be able to go anywhere.

I don’t want to just live.

This world is cruel but I still love you.

Even if I sacrifice everything, I will protect you.

Even if this is a mistake,

I don’t doubt it.

What is right is believing in myself strongly.

Fans Love the Ending Song

This ending song is already very popular among Attack on Titan fans. Many said that they cried when they watched the video. The moment when everything shatters so the bird can fly free feels like such a perfect illustration of Eren’s heart. He would rather that he (and his loved ones) be free, even if there is pain and damage to get there, than be chained up behind the walls, no matter how beautiful those walls may appear.

Some people even like the new ending much better than the opening song.

Others noticed there’s a lot of symbolism in the ending. For example, in the beginning of the song, Eren’s eyes are brightly colored but the rest of him (except his scarf) is grey. But in the end, the entire world opens up and becomes beautiful (even though it’s also in disarray), but his eyes are now grey. It’s such an interesting contrast.

Whatever interpretation you take of the song, there’s no doubt that the song and the video at the end are powerful and beautiful. It’s the perfect ending for Season 4 Part 2.
