It’s another exciting week over here in the post-apocalyptic side of YouTube as this week’s round-up includes a few short films, a full-length film, a game review, a podcast trailer, and the first real trailer for a movie that’s dead center in my radar.

Dust of War Full Movie
When I do these round-ups, I gather up all the semi-interesting videos in my first pass through a few keyword searches, and then I whittle the list down from there. This movie had me gripped from the beginning and I almost watched the entire thing before remembering that I had other videos to watch! So yeah, you could say it’s good.

Permafrost – Official Teaser Trailer | Post Apocalyptic | Xelot Film
“A ruthless and broken bounty hunter roams the frozen wasteland after the Earth was devastated by solar flares, only to find redemption in an unlikely place.” Xelot Films delivers once again with this short teaser for the upcoming film Permafrost. I hate snow, but this one looks good enough to help me forget that.

No Way Out Short Film
Germany has been knocking it out of the park lately with its post-apocalyptic content. First there was the amazing cosplay community and top-notch events, then there was Tribes of Europa, and now No Way Out. The film is spoken entirely in German, but captioning is available.

Drive 4 Survival Gameplay
Simidiom takes an in-depth look at this new post-apocalyptic survival game where you must build up your ultimate fleet of Mad Max cars while still playing through your typical gather/build survival game. The art style is very similar to games like My Summer Car or even Hello Neighbor and I was thoroughly impressed with how it plays in this video. In fact, I was so impressed I bought the game on Steam five minutes after watching this video. This round-up business is getting expensive!

Marvel’s Wastelanders: Old Man Star-Lord (Scripted Podcast) | Official Trailer
This official Marvel podcast explores what the world might look like if “a little paunchier, a little slower, and a lot saltier” Star-Lord and Rocket need to save the world one more time in this alternate future post-apocalyptic timeline. The first episode of Wastelanders: Old Man Star-Lord premieres June 1st only on Sirius XM.

Biomutant | 6 Reasons to be Excited
I get it: BioMutant looks a little too cutesy for you. The anthropomorphic action/adventure game is releasing on May 25th, but it’s a hard sell for those of us who like our apocalypse brown and gritty. Hopefully Squad Up Games can help you with that decision as the channel shows off the top 6 reasons to be excited for the game, including the combat, crafting, gorgeous art style, and unique character design.

Sweet Tooth | Official Trailer | Netflix
Netflix has released the first full trailer for the upcoming comic book adaptation Sweet Tooth, and in it we see more of the characters, plot, and conflict that makes this film much more than a kids’ movie. Watch for the full release on June 4, only on Netflix.
