I’m a really big fan of audiobooks — especially of the post-apocalyptic variety. That’s why I was excited to see so many post-apocalyptic audiobook readings this week on YouTube for me to add to this round-up.

Of course, there are also a few other great videos peppered in, including a couple game trailers, a full-length movie, and even a book trailer, but this round-up is heavy with the audiobook readings.

America Falls Series Audiobook (Part 1 Unabridged)
“Isaac Race thought he’d found a new family and home. A new Life. He had, but it’s all about to be snatched away. When an ambitious enemy launches a sneak viral attack on the USA, his peaceful life is shattered and Isaac, by his very nature a loner, must band together with a ragtag group of survivors to make their way to a sanctuary, three states away in the depths of a vicious east coast winter.”

Beyond The Dome | A Sci-Fi Short Story
This audiobook reading is taken from a Reedsy contest submission by Emmanuelle Shemko entitled Beyond the Dome. It’s masterfully read by Magnetar, whom we’ve featured a few times on this round-up before.

Our Scorched Earth | A Sci-Fi Short Story

Another one read by Magnetar, this one is from Reedsy author Greydon Blight.

An audiobook narrated by Maxwell Zener, this one is the first part of a trilogy by real-life prepper Grace Hamilton.

Legacy of Debris- Book Trailer
Now when is the last time you saw an epic trailer for an upcoming book? The Legacy of Debris trilogy is “a post-apocalyptic series of fractured fairytale retellings by L. Blaise Hues.” This trailer mixes stock footage with in-game footage from The Last of Us to make an impressive teaser that really gets you ready for the books.

What Still Remains – Full Movie
“Twenty-five years after a viral outbreak decimated the population, the remaining survivors still fear that deadly illness and the feral Changed it created. Against this post-apocalyptic backdrop, a young woman loses her family and struggles to survive on her own in the wilderness.”

What Still Remains is a great flick from 2018 that is shown in its entirety here. Definitely worth a watch before YouTube takes it down!

Serum (2021) Game Trailer
“In “Serum” you are thrown into the middle of a mysterious location, which is like a maze with no exit. Without any knowledge of what happened, you will not only have to survive, but also find answers… Why you are here and – above all – how to get out. Remember – your life is in your hands!”

While Serum is not yet released, you can add it to your wishlist on Steam.

Biomutant’s Latest Teaser Trailer
This latest trailer shows off more of this gorgeously whimsical post-apocalyptic game that is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 25th. Can’t wait!
