The popular co-op zombie shooter World War Z: Aftermath has a new update called Free Against All Odds and it is now live for all players. Let’s take a look at the details.
New Horde Mode Maps and More
The new update introduces a wide variety of new content, such as the new “Jerusalem” and “New York” maps for the Horde Mode game mode, seven new mutators for the Challenge Horde Mode game mode, and a new melee weapon called the baton.
The Against All Odds update now includes the ability to play as any character in all PvE episodes for the first time. The artificial intelligence of party members who play with you has also been upgraded, and they can now wield heavier weapons.
Also, two new paid DLC packs have been released today: the Deadly Vice Weapon Skin Pack and the Rat Packs Weapon Skins Bundle. All of these may be purchased via the Steam store. Each downloadable content pack costs $4.99 and comes with four unique skins for various weapons.
Gamers of World War Z: Aftermath on the PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One may now obtain a bonus in-game weapon skin as well as an unique collectable trinket by registering on PROS (Prism Ray Online Services). PROS is a new platform that will enable online services for a number of forthcoming games from a wide variety of game providers, including select upcoming titles from Saber Interactive.
The New York map is described as while the military works to retake the city, a group of survivors holed up in a high-rise office building in Manhattan must make it out of the city alive, despite the fact that the city’s buildings, streets, and subways are overrun with zombies.
And as far as Jerusalem’s goes, in order to activate a weapon system on a satellite facility that has been abandoned, a military group has to retrieve a prominent scientist from the destroyed city.
This new update is available today on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. You can view the new trailer for this update released just this morning below.
