Season 4 Episode 16 Refresher

Here’s where we left off last year when Season 4 Episode 16 ended.

In the beginning of the last episode, after Zeke basically blew up himself and Levi, he managed to survive. A titan picked up his barely-living carcass and put him in its stomach, while he was having a weird vision of what we can only imagine is the founding Titan Ymir.

Yelena locked up Mikasa, Armin, and the rest of the gang, and shared her extreme devotion to Zeke and his plan to prevent the Eldians from procreating ever again.

Armin pretended to be moved by Yelena’s confession. But was he pretending?

At the very end, Reiner swoops in from the skies with a Marleyan army supporting him, and Pieck reveals that her “pretend” defection was a ruse to get Eren on the rooftop when Reiner attacked. But Eren was ready for them, and ready for a fight. But with some Marleyans embedded in Paradis and Zeke having “activated” quite a few Paradisians, it’s anyone’s guess what’s going to happen next.
