This is the time we’ve been anticipating for what seems like forever. Game enthusiasts worldwide are pumped for the upcoming TV show based on a video game. We already know that the new series is airing on HBO and HBO Max, but what about the other popular streaming platforms? Is The Last of Us on Hulu, amazon, or even Netflix? Here are the details you need to know.
The Last of Us is not available on Netflix
Unfortunately, the new show is not available on Netflix. It is possible that it may stream on the platform in the future, such as shows like The Walking Dead have, but for now you won’t be able to see Joel or Ellie on the streaming service.
Hulu Won’t Host the New Show
It seems like Hulu won’t make The Last Of Us available on its service anytime soon. The fact that it isn’t on Hulu came as a surprise to me at first, given that most of popular new releases are available there. Keep a look out, because it might appear after the first season has ended, in the future. With that being said, you can add HBO to your Hulu account by choosing the proper plan.
HBO Can’t be Streamed Through Amazon Anymore
HBO is, however, no longer streamable on Amazon Prime Video. The following error message will appear when you try to access the service: “HBO is no longer available through Amazon Prime Video. Your HBO subscription through Prime Video Channels was cancelled on September 15, 2021. Amazon will refund you for the remaining days in your monthly subscription period.” There’s nothing else you can do but tune into HBO or HBO Max if you want to watch The Last of Us.
When is The Last of Us Airing?
Season one of the show will debut on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at 9:00 PM ET/PT on HBO and HBO Max. For only $9.99 a month, subscribers can watch Westworld and a wide variety of other shows. What is The Last of Us About?
The series, which is based on the computer game The Last of Us, is set twenty years after modern society has collapsed. Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, enlists the aid of a strong survivor named Joel in order to break out of a stifling quarantine zone. What starts off as a routine task suddenly becomes an ordeal as the two of them are thrust into a cross-country journey where they can only rely on one another for support.
Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian, Wonder Woman 1984) and Bella Ramsey (HBO’s His Dark Materials, Game of Thrones) will play Joel and Ellie, respectively.
