Chainsaw Man is just about to premiere, with the first episode airing on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. After that, episodes will be released on a weekly basis. But while most of us know that Chainsaw Man will be streaming on Crunchyroll’s platform, what about some of the other streaming giants, like Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon?
Here’s what we know.

Chainsaw Man Will Be Streaming on Hulu
Chainsaw Man’s subtitled episodes will be released on Hulu right alongside their release on Crunchyroll in the United States, according to Chainsaw Man’s official website. We then get further confirmation from Hulu’s Press Page, which notes that Chainsaw Man’s subtitled episode will be added on October 11, and will continue to premiere there weekly throughout the first season.
So if you’re in the U.S., you have a choice of streaming Chainsaw Man either through Crunchyroll or with a regular Hulu subscription. Click here to go to Hulu’s main page. (Note: This is an affiliate link.) Hulu also offers a free trial here, which lasts for a month.
While Hulu hasn’t confirmed what time the new episodes will drop, it will likely be at the same time they drop on Crunchyroll. (At least, that’s the way it worked with Attack on Titan’s new episodes.) So expect Episode 1 to be available at 9 a.m. Pacific/11 a.m. Central/12 p.m. Eastern on Hulu.
Will Chainsaw Man Be on Amazon Prime Video?
What about Amazon Prime Video? The answer is yes, Chainsaw Man will be on Amazon Prime Video. However, it’s unlikely that it will be available on the U.S. version of Amazon Prime Video.
Chainsaw Man’s official website prominently lists Amazon Prime as a streaming service for the anime. In fact, it’s the very first service listed after the TV broadcast dates, and it’s prominently listed by itself as the “fastest unlimited viewing” option.
However, the link provided is to Amazon Japan.
It’s listed again later, under “distribution around the world,” but without a link this time. And several other platforms in that list are not streaming in the U.S.
More than likely, Amazon Prime Video’s Chainsaw Man episodes will only be available in Japan, and perhaps in a few limited countries outside of that, but not the U.S. In fact, Beebom lists only Japan for Prime Video.
Will Chainsaw Man Be on Netflix?
Will Chainsaw Man be on Netflix? The answer is similar to the answer for Amazon Prime. Yes, it will stream on Netflix, but no, not in the version available in the United States.
Chainsaw Man’s official website lists Netflix as one of the streaming platforms that will show the anime. It’s listed twice, in fact. It will definitely be available in Japan on Netflix. What’s on Netflix speculated that if it’s available anywhere else on Netflix, it would be Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Thailand (like Spy x Family.)
So in conclusion, out of the major streaming platforms, only Hulu will be available (in addition to Crunchyroll) for U.S. viewers.
Chainsaw Man premieres at 9 a.m. Pacific on Tuesday, October 11. There will be 12 episodes, and one episode will be released each week.
