Alone Season 9 is here with its premiere titled “Drop Shock” and we are so excited! This is the perfect, one-stop-shop show for any survivalist and preppers out there who are curious about how to survive in the wild, and how to do it properly (and in some cases, probably how to NOT do it). The show is dropping on History and Discovery+, but is the show on Hulu, Amazon, or Netflix? We’ve got some answers for you right here! Here’s how to watch Alone Seasons 9 online.
Is Alone Season 9 on Hulu, Amazon or Netflix?
If you’re looking to quickly catch up on the previous season of Alone, History’s YouTube channel has an official list with clips that will hopefully show you some of the best highlights from previous years and you can watch them here. Netflix currently has 7 seasons but this will be ending on June 1st, as the network is removing the show from its listing.
You can also stream the series on Hulu from seasons 1 through 6, and Prime Video. However, Seasons 9 will not be available right away for people in the USA. It seems though that if you have a VPN and a Canadian Prime membership you would be able to, as Episode 1 of season 9 is already listed there. In the U.S., you might be able to get episodes on Amazon if you buy them individually or via a season pass, but they won’t be available until sometime after the episode drops on TV.

**Edit on May 28th: Prime Canada has all seasons listed, however, you can only have access to Season 1 to 5 with Prime Video. You will need to buy each additional episodes or season separately.
If you’ve never seen the show, History’s synopsis of Alone is described as “Survivalists are dropped off in undisclosed, remote locations and equipped with just ten survival tools, and enough camera gear to self-document their experiences. The survivalist who endures the longest, facing total isolation, punishing weather, and deadly predators, will win the $500,000 grand prize. No camera crews. No gimmicks. “Alone” is the ultimate test of human will.”

You can see some of the participants starting gear on the official website, but here is just a few items available to them:
- 1 pair of high-leg hunting boots
- 1 pair waterproof Arctic winter boots
- 1 T-shirt
- 1 fleece/wool shirt
- 2 wool, fleece or cotton sweaters
- 6 pairs wool socks
- 2 hats
- 2 buffs or neck gaiter
- 1 shemagh OR scarf
- 4 pairs of gloves
- 2 pairs of underwear/briefs
- 1 insulated parka-style jacket
- 2 pair of outdoor pants/bibs
- 1 pair of fully insulated or waterproof winter pants/bibs
- 1 waterproof un-insulated shell/Jacket
The Ninth Season of Alone drops May 26th at 9PM ET/PT.
