Chainsaw Man Episode 6 is premiering on Tuesday, November 15, 2022. Episode 5 was a perfect mix of comedy and drama, and we expect the newest episode to deliver the same level of quality. What time does Episode 6 drop? It might be affected by a special event in Japan, so read on for more details. We’re also embedding a live countdown in the second section of this story, so you can know exactly when the subtitled episode should be dropping in the U.S.
Chainsaw Man May Be Dropping a Little Late This Week Only
Chainsaw Man Episode 6 (the English sub version) might be dropping a few minutes late on Tuesday, but this isn’t yet confirmed. Just know that if the episode premieres a little late for you, that’s why.
The English sub typically drops in the U.S. on Tuesdays at 9 a.m. Pacific on both the Crunchyroll and Hulu streaming platforms. In other time zones, this translates to 10 a.m. Mountain, 11 a.m. Central, and 12 p.m. Eastern. (When Post Apocalyptic Media spoke with a Crunchyroll rep, they said that the recent Daylight Savings time change shouldn’t cause the episode to drop early, though that might change.)
However, there’s something else happening in Japan that might cause the episode to be 10 minutes late on November 15 only.
The official Chainsaw Man website notes (according to a Google translated version): “November 15 (Tuesday) Broadcast ‘Chainsaw Man’ Episode 6 Notice of broadcast time change. The next episode of Chainsaw Man will be broadcast from 24:10 on Tuesday, November 15th, 10 minutes later than normal.”
So in Japan, where Chainsaw Man premieres on TV about an hour before it drops in the U.S., the episode will be delayed by 10 minutes. It’s not clear if this will also affect the time that the English sub drops in the U.S. But if you check at 11 a.m. Central and it’s not there, don’t panic. It might just be delayed 10 minutes.
Chainsaw Man Live Countdown Timer
We’re providing a countdown timer below that we created from TickCounter. It should be fully responsive and adjust based on the device you’re using.
Note: This timer is based on the usual time that Chainsaw Man drops. If it’s delayed due to being delayed in Japan, then it might drop 10 minutes after this countdown timer ends.
Remember: there’s a slight chance it may premiere on Hulu and Crunchyroll 10 minutes after this countdown timer ends. (Or, if the streaming platforms decide to make a last-minute adjustment due to a late reaction to Daylight Savings, it could premiere earlier than this.)
Backup Live Timer
Here’s a backup timer, just in case the one above doesn’t work for any reason. This one may not be responsive, so you might need to adjust your phone or tablet to being horizontal in order for the timer to appear correctly on your device.
(Remember: Chainsaw Man might drop 10 minutes later than this countdown.)
Chainsaw Man Recap
Last week was a great one in Chainsaw Man’s universe. You can check out our full review here.
But to sum things up, Episode 5 was all about the Gun Devil’s introduction. Makima manipulated Denji into agreeing to take the Gun Devil out and – if he succeeds – she’ll sleep with him. The Gun Devil is the most powerful devil yet. It only appeared once and killed 1.2 million people in less than five minutes. No one has seen it since. Among those killed was everyone in Hayakawa’s family.
We also got to meet the rest of Division 4. The woman with an eye patch is Himeno, and she was already working for Public Safety when Hayakawa became her partner. She gave away her eye in exchange for being able to use the Ghost Devil’s arm.
The guy who looks older is Arai, who’s “not super competent” but is quite motivated. Kobeni is the name of the timid girl, who’s “got the moves” but is too scared most of the time.
The episode ends with the group realizing that the hotel they’re in is being controlled by a Devil with a bit of the Gun Devil’s flesh. They’re trapped.
But what will happen next?
