Finch is releasing tomorrow, November 5, on AppleTV+ and many are curious about its availability on other favorite streaming services. Unfortunately, as an AppleTV+ exclusive, the post-apocalyptic movie will only be available on AppleTV+. But we might still have some good news for the Apple and Playstation fans out there, as well as a way you can see the movie for free.

Finch stars Tom Hanks as a robotics engineer who survived a cataclysmic solar event for a decade in his bunker, but when he finds out that he doesn’t have much longer to live, he creates a new robot companion for his dog, Goodyear.

The trio sets off through the American West on an adventure to discover what it means to be alive. The movie is said to be both heart-wrenching and funny, which is already a familiar combination for Tom Hanks fans.

Although Finch is only available through Apple’s subscription-based streaming service, the potential good news for Apple fans is that you might already have AppleTV+ and not even know it.

For the last few years, Apple has been running a promotion that bundles its streaming service with the purchase of a new iPhone, iPad, or other Apple products. If you already have an Apple ID, it would be worth checking to see if you already have AppleTV+. The company includes simple instructions on their website:

How to get the Apple TV app or Apple TV+ app

  1. Go to your device’s app store and download the Apple TV app or Apple TV+ app. If you don’t see the app that you’re looking for, check your device’s compatibility.
  2. Open the Apple TV app or Apple TV+ app and choose Start Watching.
Go to Settings, then select Accounts.
  3. Choose Sign In. If you don’t have an Apple ID, you need to create one. Then, use one of these options to sign in with your Apple ID and complete setup:
    – Sign In On Mobile Device: Use your phone’s camera to scan the QR code on the TV screen. Then follow the instructions on your mobile device.
    – Sign In On This TV: Use your TV remote to manually sign in with your Apple ID and complete setup.

And once you’re set up with AppleTV+, you can check out other post-apocalyptic exclusives like See with Jason Momoa or the space-apocalypse masterpiece based on the Isaac Asimov classic, Foundation. Or there’s always Ted Lasso!

In even better news, AppleTV+ is currently running a 7-day free trial for the service, so even if you don’t have or plan to buy an Apple product in the near future, you can still check out Finch completely free through this trial. After that, the service is only $4.99 a month.

And if that’s not enough, you can also unlock a total of SIX MONTHS of AppleTV+ for free on your Playstation 5! Yes, we saved that last little bit of new for last because it’s the best!
