In this week’s installment of the weekly YouTube video round-up, we get a look at a few more short films than usual, an inspiring Gaslands car build, and more!

Repairing Scrapyard Finds
I want to start this week’s round-up with a bang from one of my favorite YouTubers, The Post Apocalyptic Inventor, who does a wonderful job at showcasing how rewarding it can be to fix up and repair junk you find in a scrapyard.

Gaslands Build for ’61 Impala Diecast Car
Gaslands has swept the gaming world these last few years, and I have to say that I’ve been bitten by the tabletop game’s allure as well. This video showcases a gorgeous build from brand new diecast car to post-apocalyptic Gaslands monster in seven minutes flat.

Fallen World: The Hunted Part 1 (Post-Apocalyptic Mini Series)
At first glance, this low-budget video might seem like many others you see on YouTube, but there are a few scenes of some really impressive acting in this one. This episode is part of Season 4 of the series, so you can hit the filmmaker’s YouTube channel for more of the previous seasons.

WHAT’S LEFT OF US | A Short Film
“A story of two survivors in a post-apocalyptic world as they fight to survive against the infected and what remains of humanity. How far will you go to survive and how much of your humanity are you willing to sacrifice?” Another seemingly low-budget short film that surprised me with its acting and production quality.

Postscript | Full Post-Apocalyptic Sci-Fi Movie
As the title says, this is a full-length post-apocalyptic film coming in at just over an hour and a half. While the movie originally came out in 2016, this “non-exclusive license from Bounty Entertainment” viewing came out on the Sci-Fi Central channel this week.

Shawn has been infatuated with the post-apocalyptic genre since he wore out his horribly American-dubbed VHS of the original Mad Max as a child. Shawn is the former Editor-in-Chief at Massively.com, creator of the Aftermath post-apocalyptic immersion event, and author of "AI For All," a guide to navigating this strange new world of artificial intelligence.
He currently resides on top of a mountain in the middle of nowhere with his wife and four children.
