Chainsaw Man released its first teaser trailer quite a while ago, and fans have been eagerly awaiting a new trailer ever since. It’s finally almost here. Here are all the details about when it will be released so you don’t miss it.

The Trailer Is Premiering on August 5

MAPPA is hosting a big event on Friday, August 5, where the studio intends to reveal the new Chainsaw Man trailer for the first time. According to an official tweet, the event starts at 20:00 Japanese time (8 p.m. on August 5). It’s tentatively expected to last for one hour.

If you’re in the U.S., watching the trailer live as it airs for the first time will be a bit more complicated. You’ll have to get up extra early to see it!

In the U.S., the MAPPA event is taking place on Friday, August 5, at 6 a.m. Central, 7 a.m. Eastern, and, 5 a.m. Mountain, and 4 a.m. Pacific. So you’ll have to get up early enough to catch it before going to work, or just tune in to this website later to see the trailer and an analysis of it.

There’s a lot more going on than the trailer though. We’re also expected to learn the voice cast for the anime. I’m crossing my fingers that we’ll get an official release date too, though that hasn’t been hinted at yet. I can’t imagine a better time to announce the premiere though!

Watch the Event on YouTube

MAPPA has been openly sharing that they will be airing a promotional video at the event, so we can count on a trailer being aired.

YouTube is the best place to watch the event. The link for watching on YouTube is here. Unfortunately, it looks like MAPPA has disabled the ability to embed the video, so we can’t embed it here in this article. But the video was posted several days in advance, and you can click on the notification bell to be notified when it goes live.

You can also watch on the Abema TV website or on NicoVideo.jp.

The one thing we don’t know yet is whether there will be English subtitles for the event. I’m going to guess no, but am hoping I’m wrong.

When announcing the event, MAPPA also shared a new visual teaser photo that you can see in our story here.

What About the Crunchyroll Expo?

If you thought the trailer was going to be released last month, you’re not alone. There was an Anime Expo event with a Chainsaw Man panel, and fans really thought that was when the trailer was premiering.

The panel revealed that more news was going to be shared at the Crunchyroll Expo in August. So we all thought that was when the trailer was premiering, until MAPPA surprised everyone by announced a video was releasing on August 5.

The Crunchyroll Expo does overlap with the trailer release date. It’s taking place August 5-7. But the MAPPA event is taking place so early in the morning on August 5, that it won’t be part of an actual Crunchyroll Expo panel, I’d imagine. The first events taking place on August 5 don’t even start until 10 a.m. Pacific time, according to the current schedule

According to Crunchyroll’s schedule, the Chainsaw Man panel is taking place on Sunday, August 7, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Pacific. This will be worth watching, as I imagine we’ll get some new information then also, even if it’s not the trailer. (For those wondering, I don’t see any Attack on Titan event son the schedule except for a cosplay gathering. Hoping that changes.)
