Fans of the post-apocalyptic game Horizon Zero Dawn have been anxiously waiting for its sequel “Forbidden West” especially after a delayed launch date announcement last summer. But when exactly will players be able to follow along with Aloy’s story? More specifically, at what time will Horizon Forbidden West release?
According to Gamerant.com, Horizon Forbidden West will unlock at 12 AM ET on February 18, 2022. However, it will launch at that time in your respective region. This means that people in regions such as Australia and the United Kingdom will have access to the game much earlier than the rest of the world. Do you really despise spoilers? I recommend staying off of social media and any game news-related site until you can get your hands on your copy on that day!
Players who pre-purchased the game can also pre-load Horizon Forbidden West for faster hands-on gaming, as the game weighs in at 87.608GB for US region players, and 97.027GB for the EU version according to PlayStation Game Size. It is also good to know that if you purchase the game for PS4, you can get a free upgrade for the PS5, which means you will save $10 overall if you wish to go that route. The game for the Playstation 4 is listed at $59.99, compared to $69.99 for the Playstation 5.
Horizon Forbidden West follows the story of Aloy as she confronts the Forbidden West, which reveals new threats, adventures, and creatures. Aloy must restore the balance in the world as these new machines threaten to exterminate it, along with never before seen storms and blight. Players will be able to visit these places not only on the surface but also with underwater adventures which were not available in the first instalment of the game.
I can’t wait to uncover Aloy’s new abilities and all of the new scenery available in the game. Guerrilla really promises big with this title, and previews of the game have a lot of good things to say about it.
Will you be playing the game? What are you most excited about? Let us know in the comments!
