Wasteland Weekend 2022 has arrived. It begins on Wednesday, September 28, and is scheduled to end on Sunday, October 2nd. This event takes place once a year and features complete post-apocalyptic immersion. To put it another way, if you want to experience what it’s like to live in a post-apocalyptic world, here is it, and it thankfully looks nothing like staying indoors during a pandemic. Take a look at the schedule (as well as the accompanying maps) so that you can get a better idea of what will be going on over the next several days.
The Entertainment Schedule
We have all the information you need, whether you are going to Wasteland Weekend and want to know the schedule, or if you are simply interested in what other people do to keep themselves engaged throughout Wasteland Weekend. This is by no means an exhaustive list, but it should provide you with a good idea of what’s happening in the world of entertainment. Here is a PDF version of the complete entertainment schedule. Please keep in mind that all timings listed are in the local time of the event’s location in California.
Wednesday schedule for 9.28.2022

Sunday schedule for 10.02.2022
- 9:30-11:30 am: Sunday Sermon on the Glory of the Atom with Brother Justify at the City Gates
- 12 pm: Event ends at the Wasteland
There are also a great number of unofficial events, all of which are about to be documented on the Wasteland Weekend website and are not available yet at the time of writing this article.
The Cost of Tickets Has Increased This Year
The Wasteland Weekend ticket page states that this year, the tickets have increased in cost. They state “Because of steeply rising costs for nearly all of our expenses, we were faced with a difficult decision – Raise ticket prices significantly for 2022 (and still not cover all of our cost increases) or stop doing Wasteland events completely. We have chosen to keep going.”
Tickets are still available at the cost of $395.

Maps of the Event
The organizers of Wasteland Weekend have made available a variety of maps, which may assist attendees in finding their way to the event as well as in navigating the grounds once they are there. On this area of their website, you can find links to all of their maps.
The event will take place in its usual site in Edwards, California, which can be found to the south of Rosewood Boulevard, to the east of California City Boulevard, and to the west of Claymine Road. The following geographical coordinates are listed on the website: 35.087439 and -117.825400. The location of this business can be found at 17200 E Rosewood Blvd, Edwards, California 93523. They do advise that if you enter this into Google Maps, you will end up in a slightly different position, so it is best to utilise the real GPS coordinates instead than trying to find the area using Google Maps.
Because GPS instructions may attempt to take you down roads that are closed, the website advises all guests to access Rosewood Boulevard from the west through California City Boulevard. This is because GPS directions may try to take you down roads that are closed. If you approach this location from the east side of Rosewood or Claymine, you will not be permitted to enter.
The website warns: “Just as with our previous location, the surrounding area looks filled with ‘roads,’ but most are not finished, usable, or exist at all. Any roads other than the highways and major streets represented in Google Maps are purely dirt roads for city planning use only. Do not try to use them to get to the event, because you’ll either get lost, stuck, or sent to the back of the proper line anyway.”
