Most of us thought that the first season of TLOU went by way too quickly. Nine episodes felt like 3 weeks, honestly! We’ve got attached to some of the characters quickly and, well, we’re already missing them now that season one is over with. So when will we be able to watch The Last of Us Season 2? You might be in for some waiting.
The Last of Us Season 2 to Start Filming end of 2023…ish.
Bella Ramsey, who plays Ellie in the HBO show, was asked about the second season while on The Jonathan Ross Show and answered with “It will be a while. I think we’ll probably shoot at the end of this year, beginning of next. So it’ll probably be the end of 2024, early 2025.”
So a whole year and a half at minimum that we will have to wait until we witness Part 2 of the Last of Us. Probably as it is also told through the videos games, and that means a whole lot of emotions to be had once again.
Bella Ramsey ‘Completely in Denial’ Over The First Season Ending
In an exclusive interview with Vanity Fair, She also expressed her feelings over ending the first season of The Last of Us. “You basically create a whole new, separate life. You’re living in a place for a year with the same people, so it was weird,” she started. “I was completely in denial that it was going to finish. Then, when I got back home, I was still in denial. I was like, “It’s fine. I’ll just be back there next week.” And obviously that next week never came. It was really hard. I found it really difficult.”
We can only imagine! She also comments on the fact that she will have to take on the role of Ellie once again, and while she is thrilled to do so, she still has a few concerns. “I’m nervous that I’m just not getting [the practice]. I’m like, “What if I just can’t do it? What if I can’t be Ellie again?” I think I’ll be nervous about it, and then I’ll step onto set the first day and it’ll be totally fine. I try not to think about it too much.”
We’re sure that she will do a fantastic job.

While you wait for TLOU… Get Your Pedro Pascal Fix
Even though The Last Of Us season 2 isn’t quite ready yet, you can catch up on anything Pedro Pascal, who plays Joel in The Last of Us, through the new season of The Mandalorian. Tina has got you covered right here when it comes to the show and its planetary apocalypse. She writes “We have seen apocalypses in Star Wars before. Alderaan in A New Hope, of course, Scariff in Rogue One, Hosnian Prime in The Force Awakens, and we’ve had episodes in battle-torn landscapes in all iterations of the movies and shows (and Andor has a bit, but it’s more dystopian), but The Mandalorian has finally given us a sprawling live-action post-apocalyptic world with Mandalore.”
Have you seen the show yet? And are you excited for The Last of Us Season 2? Let us know!
