The Handmaid’s Tale Season 5 is here and we are so ready to follow June’s story, oh so closely. We already know that the show is a Hulu exclusive, but what about fans of the show located outside of the U.S.? Let’s take a look at when and where you can watch the new episodes.
How Can I Watch The Handmaid’s Tale Season 5 Outside the U.S.?
In Canada, according to Mobile Syrup, you’ll be able to follow the show on Crave and Prime Video. It is not specified when exactly the episodes are going to be available on Amazon, but Crave will share the same times and dates as Hulu, with the premiere hitting September 14th with back-to-back episodes.
What About The U.K.?
There is currently no official broadcast date set for the fifth season of The Handmaid’s Tale in the United Kingdom. On the other hand, we anticipate the season to hit screens in the UK sometime around the middle of November 2022. We have based this on our estimates for the fourth season, which saw the release date in the UK come two months after the debut date for viewers in the United States on Hulu.
The premiere of Season 4 took place on April 28, 2021, in the United States. After that, it started airing on Channel 4 in the UK on June 20, 2021, and continued after that date. It’s also possible that you’ll be able to watch the show on Amazon Prime U.K. as they add new episodes about two days after they air in the U.S. But that is just a wild guess. It could take weeks before you’ll see a single episode there.
What About Australia?
Who Entertainment confirmed that SBS is the regular supplier of the show in Australia, and episodes are made available On-Demand in addition to being shown on free-to-air television. Australia will be able to see the new season much sooner than usual when the time arrives, but no dates are set, yet. So stay tuned for this one!
What Else Can I Do?
If you can’t watch during the premiere because of your location, a VPN might help. You’ll still have to subscribe to Hulu, but you may be able to watch it from anywhere as long as your VPN is set to an American IP address. (Just note: sometimes streaming services screen for VPNs, so this method isn’t guaranteed to work.) Make sure that whatever method you use, it involves legally paying for and streaming the show. We want to make sure the producers and actors get full credit for their hard work!

The widowed Serena attempts to raise her profile in Toronto as Gilead’s influence creeps into Canada. Commander Lawrence works with Aunt Lydia as he tries to reform Gilead and rise in power.”
