The new dub drops on Tuesday, November 8, with new dubs releasing every week at the same time from here on out. Here’s when the dub premieres, in different time zones, so you can watch it right when it’s available, including a live countdown in the second section.

  • 1:30 p.m. Mountain
  • 2:30 p.m. Central

Does Daylight Savings Affect Chainsaw Man’s Release Time?

Of course, you may be wondering if Daylight Savings time (aka the time change we had on Sunday in the U.S.) could affect the release time. A representative of Crunchyroll told Post Apocalyptic Media that at this time, they do not expect the drop time to change. Despite the time change, Crunchyroll is intending to release the dub episode at the same time it was released last week. However, there is always a chance that this might change at the last minute. So you might always glance at Crunchyroll an hour early just in case.

Live Countdown to the English Dub Episode 3

We’ve created a countdown timer from TickCounter to let you know exactly when Episode 3’s dub should be available. (Note that if anything changes at the last minute due to the time change, it might drop an hour early.) The timer below should be responsive to whatever device you’re looking at it from.

Countdown

Remember: This countdown is for the English dub premiere, not the sub. And remember, there’s a small chance it might drop early. And of course, if the servers are overloaded, it could drop late.

Looking Back at Episode 2

You can check out our full review of Episode 2 here, but a quick recap is below.

Much of the story centered around Denji’s new crush on Makima. The beautiful woman rescued him and helped him understand what’s happening to him, so of course, he’s now in love with her. But despite this, he was still aware that there might be more to her than meets the eye (perhaps something to be wary of.)

Denji is now officially working with the Public Safety Devil Extermination Special Division 4, which uses people with unusual powers who might otherwise be wiped out by Public Safety. But Makima warns him that if they don’t perform well, they won’t last. And if he tries to escape and leave the job, he’ll be killed.

He meets Aki Hayakawa, who is the head of this new division, and his partner Power. Interestingly, Power is a Fiend (aka a devil who took over the body of a human.) But she’s different than most fiends: she’s rational.

All in all, it was an intriguing episode that set up a fascinating foundation for future storylines.
