The intriguing Hulu series The Handmaid’s Tale is already nearing its end. Just how many episodes are left? Here’s a look at the schedule.

After Episode 11 airs on Wednesday, July 31, there will only be two episodes left in Season 3 of The Handmaid’s Tale.

Episode 12 will air on August 7, 2019. The episode is called “Sacrifice” and is written by Eric Tuchman. In 2019, he was nominated for the WGA award  for Episodic Drama, based on the episode he wrote called “First Blood.”

Tuchman’s other episodes for THT include “God Bless the Child” this season, “Postpartum” in Season 2, “First Blood” in Season 2, and “The Bridge” in Season 1.

Episode 13 will air on August 14, 2019. The episode is called “Mayday” and is written by Bruce Miller.

Miller also wrote “Night” (the first episode of Season 3), the Season 2 finale, he co-wrote “Holly” in Season 2, wrote the first two episodes of Season 2, the finale for Season 1, and the first three episodes of Season 1. So we’re in really good hands writing-wise for the finale of Season 3.

After that, we’ll probably have a year of waiting for The Handmaid’s Talet to return. It’s been renewed for Season 4, but it will be a while before the very disturbing world of Gilead returns to Hulu.

It’s hard to believe the show is already almost over. Those 13 episodes went by really fast, partly because Hulu released the first three all on the same day. Not that we’re complaining. It’s been a wild ride this season, and Season 4 will likely only be crazier.

If you haven’t seen The Handmaid’s Tale, you can watch Season 1 here. Or check out the book the series is based on here. There’s also a movie from 1990. You can watch it on Amazon here
