A new open-world survival game set in the Terminator universe has been announced by publisher Nacon Studio Milan.

While there’s no release date for this very early game project, the publisher did say during their Nacon Connect event that the title will be “the first survival game set in the Terminator universe” where players will “fight to survive in a post-apocalyptic open world where the last vestiges of humanity are hounded by terrifying machines.”

So if this game is set after Judgment Day, and we follow the Terminator movie timeline, that means we may fight before John Connor leads the Resistance against the machines.

The announcement trailer is a short 24 seconds long and really only shows us a Terminator (presumably a T-800 or T-1000) walking into some sort of workshop with fire raging behind it.

We’re excited to learn more about this game as it progresses and will keep you up-to-date on any new developments. Hasta La Vista, baby.
