You simply MUST read Childhood’s End. If you haven’t, well you’re missing out.

OK here’s the deal: I am SUPER excited about Childhood’s End starting on Syfy on Dec. 14. It only loosely qualifies as post-apocalyptic, but I’m writing about it anyway. 🙂 Why? Because the book by Arthur C. Clarke is one of my favorite books of all-time. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve read it.

There’s not a lot I can tell you about it without giving away essential plot points. Let’s just say that it’s about aliens arriving on Earth… And that’s about all I’ll say. It’s simply amazing, and you really MUST read it.

We’ve still got two weeks before the series starts on Syfy. The book is short, so that means you have time to read the book before the show starts if you want. I recommend doing so. The book is an amazing read when you don’t know what’s happening, but I think the show will still be great to watch even when you have the knowledge of what’s coming up.
