NYCC (New York Comic-Con) is featuring a Chainsaw Man panel, and we know it’s going to have a lot more exciting reveals than we saw during the Anime Expo 2022. Hopefully the announcements will include the time the sub is airing on Crunchyroll, along with a date for the dubs’ release. Here’s what we know about when the panel is happening and how to watch the updates live (including live stream links later in third section of this story.)

The Chainsaw Man Panel Is Taking Place Friday Afternoon, October 7

According to New York Comic-Con, the Chainsaw Man panel starts Friday, October 7, at 12:45 p.m. Eastern and lasts an hour until 1:45 p.m.

In other time zones, this is: 11:45 a.m. Central, 10:45 a.m. Mountain, and 9:45 a.m. Pacific.

What’s Going to Happen at the Chainsaw Man Panel?

NYCC’s official description of the panel reads: “Calling all Devil Hunters! Join Crunchyroll for a Chainsaw Man panel with the English dub cast that will have you totally revved up and ready for the upcoming hit anime! Featuring a conversation with the voice actors for Denji, Makima, Aki, and Power, as well as the exclusive US PREMIERE of the first episode dubbed!”

Yes, this will be the first time the dubbed version of Episode 1 has been revealed. The first episode was already played at a special event in Japan, so this isn’t the worldwide premiere. But it is the U.S. premiere, and that’s a big deal.

Free Live Stream & Who to Follow for Live Updates

Believe it or not, there are ways to stream the panel live so you know all the big news as soon as it releases. The only downside is that the dubbed episode will not be part of the live stream. But you should still watch, because there will likely be some big details shared.

Popverse is streaming the Chainsaw Man panel LIVE for free (every part but the dubbed episode.) If you want to watch it live, you’ll need to go to Popverse’s webpage here and scroll down to the Friday lineup, then scroll down to 12:45 p.m. Once the live stream is available, they’ll add a link to the stream right there.

But there’s one catch: the stream will only be free while it’s live. But if you miss it and want to watch it later at that same Popverse link, you’ll need to purchase a “Fan” level or higher membership to Popverse.

Another option for watching the live stream, Popverse notes, is getting an NYCC digital ticket that they link to, which will also get you access to other streamed panels. The digital ticket costs $22.75 to have access to video-on-demand panels that happen in the Empire Main and Room 405 stages (Chainsaw Man’s panel is in Empire Main.) But before you buy the ticket, have a “buyer beware” moment. I can’t guarantee this will work without also having a live event ticket. That’s because New York Comic Con’s MAIN ticket page has the same link for buying a digital ticket on it, but calls it a “Digital Add On” and notes: “Purchase of a live event ticket required.” So be cautious with the digital ticket route.

Want live updates without having to watch a stream? We’ll likely also get updates from this Chainsaw Man account (@ChainsawMan_Eng) and @Chainsaw_En, the official English account for Chainsaw Man.
