This is our second year doing these Post-Apocalyptic Media Boomie Awards and we’re so excited to show you who we picked as our favorites from each of the 11 categories.
With the pandemic still lingering in 2021, it was another tough year for the entertainment industry, but still much better than 2020. We look forward to how 2022 will progress as we’re already keeping our eyes on nominees for next year.
These awards are a culmination of our team’s opinions on the best of the best in the post-apocalyptic genre. Each of the 11 categories had dozens of nominees with one ultimate winner and 5 runners-up for each. This was certainly a tough decision but we’re so happy to present our top picks for 2021!

Jason Momoa
Career Bio
Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa was born on August 1, 1979, in Honolulu, Hawaii. He is the son of Coni (Lemke), a photographer, and Joseph Momoa, a painter. His father is of Native Hawaiian and Samoan descent; and his mother, who is from Iowa, is of German, Irish, and Native American ancestry.
Jason is an actor who started his career as a model. In addition to his many starring and co-starring roles in both television and film, Momoa has worked as a writer, director, and producer in the entertainment industry.
We honor him with this lifetime achievement award for his work in several prominent post-apocalyptic and near-post-apocalyptic (survival-based) titles.
