Zombieland 2: Release Date, Showtimes at Movies Near Me, & Runtime

Zombieland 2

It’s time for Zombieland 2! Fans have been waiting forever for a sequel to Zombieland, and the wait is finally over with Zombieland: Double Tap. Here’s a look at the release date and showtimes at movies near you.

Zombieland: Double Tap’s official release date is Friday, October 18, 2019. But it’s already available to watch at quite a few theaters on Thursday, October 17. Most movie showtimes will begin around 7 or 8 p.m. local time. That’s a lot earlier than some premieres, where movies just premiere close to midnight the night before the official release date. If you want to watch Zombieland 2 before anyone else, then you better get tickets for Thursday night.

The runtime for the movie is 99 minutes according to IMDb. That’s 1 hour and 39 minutes, so you may need to take a bathroom break at some point!

As for movie times and showings, there are several ways to find the movie showings near you.

  • Facebook now has an option for finding movie showtimes near your location. Just go here. It will show theaters near you and the times are clickable, taking you directly to where you can buy tickets.
  • Fandango is another good option. Here’s the link for seeing showtimes on Fandango.
  • You can buy tickets near you on the Zombieland.com page here.

Looking for a double feature? Alamo Draft House is offering one (locations are limited) where they’re showing both movies. They’re asking attendees to come dressed as zombies. They note: “You’re going to be in a theater filled with fellow zombies so please don’t look alive.” You can see details here.

Here’s the trailer for the movie so you can get as excited as we are!

The official synopsis is far more simplistic than the movie itself. “Zombie slayers Tallahassee, Columbus, Wichita and Little Rock square off against the newly evolved undead.”

This is going to be great.
