There’s no denying that 2020 was a unique year for all of us, but the entertainment industry was hit particularly hard. Fewer movies were released (most saving themselves for 2021), and there was a new sensitivity for pandemic-related topics.
But through all of this, we still decided to hold our very first awards, appropriately named The Boomies, to celebrate the things that have kept us sane during a real-life pandemic.
So we got together to figure out our favorite picks in 12 categories, with one ultimate winner in each. We then restricted the runners-up to only five, and are excited to present all of the winners and nominees here for you!
