Podcast Episode 4: Mykel Hawke Interview, COVID-19 Craziness, and Laser Tag

Podcast Episode 4

Derek, Stephanie, and Shawn are back again with this week’s podcast featuring all the latest post-apocalyptic news.

Derek starts this one out by mentioning some recent news, including updates to the Resident Evil movie’s potential release date, and the fact that he’s soon to be the coolest guy on the podcast with his new Oculus 2. Hopefully he’ll tell us all about it next week!

Shawn discusses two of his latest projects he’s working on for the site. The first is a list of his top post-apocalyptic mobile games for iOS, and the second is an interview he did with survivalist extraordinaire, Mykel Hawke. You might remember Mykel as the “Man” part of the show Man, Woman, Wild. You can check out that interview here.

Stephanie’s topic this time around is COVID-19 and how seriously scary it has become. While the hosts don’t get political and choose a side in this discussion, Stephanie relays some useful information regarding reinfection and the potential vaccine.

And finally, Derek talks about an adventure he and Stephanie experienced this last week in the realm of laser tag. Yes, that’s still a thing and yes it’s way cooler than it was years ago!

Shawn has been infatuated with the post-apocalyptic genre since he wore out his horribly American-dubbed VHS of the original Mad Max as a child. Shawn is the former Editor-in-Chief at Joystiq's Massively.com, creator of the Aftermath post-apocalyptic immersion event, and host of the Through the Aftermath podcast for over 11 years. He currently resides on top of a mountain in the middle of nowhere with his wife and four children.
