Back 4 Blood has entered open beta this week and the first-person survival horror game is already gaining attention from Twitch streamers and fans of its spiritual predecessor, Left 4 Dead.

This early access open beta will only run from August 5th through the 9th, but it’s not hard to get in to play. Simply pre-order the game or watch an hour of the Back 4 Blood Twitch stream to get a key. And if you miss it this weekend, you can always wait until August 12th when the open beta will be open to everyone without a code until August 16th.

Back 4 Blood is a zombie shooter that was developed by the original creators of the wildly popular Left 4 Dead series. The gameplay is almost identical, with the addition of a few key features like a card deck for stat changes, so fans of the original games will be happy to get their hands on this one.

The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world after an alien parasite wipes out much of humanity. This leaves waves and waves of infected undead, known as the Ridden, to tear up what’s left of the planet. But it’s up to you and your band of friends (up to 4 players in co-op mode, 8 in PvP mode) to wipe out as many as you can to save the world.

How to Redeem Beta Code
When you grab an open beta code, you only have a few simple steps to redeem and get into the game:
1. Create or sign in to your Warner Bros. Games account
2. Click on “Manage Account”
3. Click on “Account Settings”
4. Enter your Back 4 Blood code in the “Redeem a Code” section
5. Select your region and platform to get a game key

And that’s it! The full game will launch for Windows, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on October 12, 2021.
